Paperwhite is designed for modern women who naturally integrate charm and personality into their everyday style. The collection features subtle details, reinventing classics with novelty twists. With rich color palettes and easy wearable prints, effortless versatility defines the collection.

Founded in 2008, the brand originally saw a need in the market for women's shirtings and launched the collection with just 15 styles. Using luxurious Italian cottons in feminine silhouettes, Paperwhite quickly expanded to 150 stores in just a couple years. As the business grew, so did the demand for more classifications in this niche market. By continuing to use the unique design elements Paperwhite was known for, its signature look flourished. In 2011, Paperwhite presented its spring collection as a fully developed line and successfully bridged the gap between missy and contemporary.

Paperwhite can now be purchased in over 300 stores across the country (including Nordstrom and Von Maur Department Stores), and is under the creative leadership of Hinson Wu & Ralph Vizcarra.

Creative Director Hinson Wu joined Paperwhite in 2008 as its founding designer, and has since evolved the brand into the collection celebrated today. A 1996 graduate of the Parsons School of Design, Hinson’s talent in design spans throughout the industry including a Senior Designer role at Macy's Merchandising Group, where he designed one of the company’s highest-volume private label women’s brands.

Wu is often inspired by all aspects of life and travel - from the architecture found on the streets of Europe, to the colorful and decorated remote towns in East Asia. He constantly seeks out modern style for the real women of today.

Head Designer Ralph Vizcarra recently joined the Paperwhite team to lead the brand through its ongoing growth and development strategy. Born and raised in San Jose, California, Ralph traded in west coast relaxation for the eclectic energy of New York City. Upon graduating from Parsons School of Design in 1993, Ralph earned invaluable experience with many leaders in the industry, including Josie Natori, Magaschoni, Issac Mizrahi, Vivienne Tam and Geoffrey Beene. Ralph lives in Manhattan with his wife, Jennifer, and daughter, Olivia.
